Every now and then you get a client that is just as daring as you. They need something fresh and new. Maybe something no one has done before. And when you have a client willing to let you experiment, you must go for it. Yoga can be intimidating and Katy wanted to show that it’s okay if you never get your heels down in downward dog. All the models are clients and staff.
The images show-off the down-to-earth environment she created but also the down-to-earth professional instruction. I think I really burned the rulebook up with this assignment, turning into more of an art project than a commercial shoot. In my art I occasionally vacillate between minimalism and bemusing. The Studio South images exemplify that.
